Odontogenic tumors (OTs) are unique to the oral cavity and arise from remnants of the embryonic tissues destined to develop into teeth and associated structures. Historically, OTs have fallen under the heading of “epulides,” which has no specific histopathologic connotation and is a clinical designation, making it a source of confusion in the veterinary literature. This chapter discusses the clinical and radiographic appearance, behavior, and treatment of common OT in dogs and cats.
