    T2-weighted axial image (A), coronal image (B), and sagittal image (C) of the prostate gland with a large hyperplastic nodule (N) at the prostate base, which is approaching the left seminal vesicle (S) and urinary bladder (U). The prostate volume was calculated by the “ROI volume” tool in Osirix (D). In this case, the prostate volume calculated by the segmentation method was 47.2 ml, and the prostate volume calculated by the ellipsoid volume formula was 33.6 ml.
