The lesion exhibits a high inhomogeneous signal in diffusion-weighted and T2-weighted sequences (A, E) and a rather homogenously low signal on T1-weighted imaging (B). In contrast-enhanced images (C, F), a strong contrast-enhancement is seen, indicating the vascular origin of the tumour. However, the signal loss, particularly in the centre of the lesion indicates distinctive necrosis.
